My story
I ruddy love weddings
I’m James, a natural light, documentary-style wedding photographer based in Stamford, Lincolnshire. I’ve been shooting weddings for over eight years and every single one still gives me the same buzz as the first.
I think the best photos are the ones that happen when nobody’s looking. The tearful dad. The moment you forget everyone’s watching. My job is to be invisible enough that those moments happen naturally, and sharp enough to catch them all.

My approach
Making you forget I’m there
My whole approach is built around making you forget I’m there. I shoot almost entirely in natural light because it’s honest. It’s the same light you’ll remember the day in. And I edit to match: warm, natural, and never filtered beyond recognition.

When I’m not shooting weddings I’m usually on a dog walk in the Lincolnshire countryside, eating something I shouldn’t, or convincing myself I’m going to learn the guitar (I’m not).
I genuinely love meeting couples and hearing your stories. If you want someone who’ll turn up, care about it as much as you do, and send you photos that make you cry the good tears, I’m your man.
