We’re interested in booking you, What happens next?

The next stage would be for us to have a relaxed meeting so we can get acquainted.  We can meet up online and if you’d like to meet face to face we can do this too!

Prior to our meeting I will send you a copy of my contract,  I never assume I will be booked at the meeting or at all!  But,  this gives you both a chance to go through my contract and I can answer any questions you may have at our meeting.

Deposit / Booking fee

I require a non-refundable booking deposit which secures me to photograph your wedding. This will either be £75 or £100 depending on the package you choose.

We are seeing other photographers,  can you pencil us in?

It’s great you are shopping around and I would encourage this as we are all different.

Although unfortunately not,  I get a lot of enquiries for popular dates, especially over the summer months and nothing is secure until a deposit is paid.  I can however let you know if another couple enquires about the same date

When is the balance due?

Balances are 4 weeks prior to your wedding date

Will we be able to print and share my images or will they be Copyright?

I provide you with a licence to print and share as much as you like and you can also download your image files from your gallery and use online to social media. None of your images will be watermarked.  I hold the copyright to all images.

What are the sizes of the files?

I upload your images to your online gallery.  I provide you with high resolution images on your gallery. The gallery images are great for downloading and using online and printing.

How long after the wedding do we get our images?

It takes me anywhere between 2-6 weeks after your wedding to edit a full wedding of around 700 images.

Once all edited, I will send you a link to your gallery via email where you can view your images and share your gallery with family and friends using your private password.  No one other than you and I will have the password.

From your gallery, you can download and save your images to your desktop or phone, there is no expiry of your gallery, but assume this will be live for up to 1 year.

How many photos will we receive?

Every wedding is different, it depends how may people attend and what the weather is like on the day. The most I have delivered is 1000  and the least is 300 for a small intimate half day wedding.  On average a typical full day wedding would generate around 600+ images

What should we expect at the pre wedding session?

A pre-wedding shoot is a great opportunity to get you in front of the camera. It is great fun and an opportunity for me to get used to working with you before the big day. The session can be done as soon as you like after booking, so the images can be used on your invitations. If you prefer, you can wait until nearer your wedding date. The shoot can be done at the wedding venue or somewhere else nearby. You just need to be yourselves, don’t come all suited and booted if this isn’t a reflection of yourselves.

Do you have a second photographer to cover both morning preparations for the couple?

I usually work alone and if you have your morning preparations in the same place as your ceremony such as a hotel, I can capture both parties during the morning preparations.  Alternatively I can provide a second photographer at an additional cost.

Please discuss this with me if you think it is something you require.

We would like group photos and we have large families

If you would like some traditional family photographs, a shot list is very helpful. I encourage you to think carefully about how much of your day you want these photographs to take up. If you allow 5 minutes per photograph, and have say 20 different combinations, this can take well over an hour of your day.

How soon do I need to book you for my wedding?

As soon as possible! I can only hold your date once your deposit has been paid, then you have me! I usually get booked up a year or two in advance.

Do you have insurance?

Yes this is a must!  I am fully insured and have public liability up to £5m too.

How are our wedding images stored?

After each wedding (even the late finishing ones) I get home and start to back up (save) all your files.  I store these to the cloud and also my external NAS system.

Do you show our images online on your website or social media before we see them?

Not without your consent.  I will create a gallery of your highlights from your day on my website a few days after you have had your gallery. If of course you prefer not to have our images shown,  please let me know I can make sure this doesn’t happen.  I love to share my clients wedding days with other potential couples so it will be a shame but I will completely understand too.
