Zoe & James – Stamford Wedding Photographer

Paige & Jack celebrated their marriage at Holmewood Hall in January 2024

Marriage & Venue – The George Hotel, Stamford

I’m lucky enough to live in the beautiful town of Stamford. In February, I photographed Zoe & James’ wedding at The George of Stamford. A gem of a wedding venue that is just a stone’s throw away from the magnificent Burghley House and the centre of Stamford.

I arrived early and met James who was relaxing with his best men and greeting arriving guests. During this time, I took photos of the dining room in preparation for the wedding reception later that day.

As the guests arrived and enjoyed a pre-wedding drink in the lounge, James was busy mingling and we could see the nerves were slowly kicking in. As this was a small family and close friend ceremony, you could see the immense joy the closer it came to the wedding.

Ceremony time and we all waited for Zoe to arrive. The think the nerves and excitement were starting to get hold and as Zoe was making her way to the Walter Scott room in toe with her father, James’ face was gleaming at the bottom of the isle.

The doors opened and tears and smiles were all seen throughout the room as everyone looked on at Zoe and her wedding dress. The ceremony was a simple affair but the raw emotion shown by James & Zoe took precedence on how intimate and amazing the ceremony was.

After the ceremony, drinks and canapes were served in the champagne bar where all the photos took place and where everyone could relax and enjoy themselves. I know James & Zoe were looking forward to the next part…

Once we all arrived in the London Room, more laughter roared out as everyone sat down in preparation for the meal. The speeches began and so did the tears again and laughter. From friends, family and best men, there was laughter, crying – everyone was enjoying themselves!

If you can get your photographer laughing or even crying, you have done a great speech and wedding!
